A few years following the first film Ron Burgundy finds himself fired from the San Diego News team while his now wife Veronicagets the top anchor job. After a few boring jobs and a suicide attempt Ron gets a job offer for CNN the first 24-hour news station starting up in New York. With this news Ron rounds up the old gang Champ, Brian and Brick. In New York the old friends find themselves overwhelmed by the competition of other news teams but in usual style Ron and his team pull of a miracle that changes the News world forever.
