During the Vietnam War U.S. soldier Captain Willard receives a top secret mission: to go deep into the Cambodian jungle and assassinate a renegade colonel who has taken place as a God to a local tribe, his name is Walter E. Kurtz. With only a few men traveling with him down a dangerous river Captain Willard’s crew don’t know what the mission is, just that they have to go wherever he says. The Army believe that Kurtz has gone completely insane but as Willard reads more about Kurtz on his journey he finds himself admiring the man and questioning weather or not he will be able to kill him when the time comes.
