During the decline of the Mayan civilization, a peaceful tribe is set upon by brutal warriors whotakemost of the men and women captive to be used sacrificially for their Gods. Jaguar Paw is the sonof a tribe leader who is murderedin front of him before being taken hostage, his wife and child have been left in a deep pit and he plans on escaping as soon as possible to get back to his family. An eclipse spares Jaguar Paw’s life from being sacrificedand he seizes his opportunity to escape, but in doing so he murders the son of the opposing tribe leader. Being hunter through the forests by his enemy Jaguar Paw must run constantly and even with his injuries he must not give himself up to fear or he will be doomed long before he reaches his family.
