As Good as It Gets

New York City, Melvin Udall, a cranky, bigoted, obsessive-compulsive writer, finds his life turned upside down when neighbouring gay artist Simon is hospitalized and his dog is entrusted to him. In addition, Carol, the only waitress who will tolerate Melvin, must leave work to care for her sick son, making it impossible for him to eat breakfast. When the three end up on a road trip together to help Simon get back on his feet it could go either way, willMelvin change his attitude for the better of those around him
