On a regular day in a dead-end South Dakota town, garbage collector Kit Carruthers walks into the life of teenager Holly Sargis and their fast-paced whirlwind of a crime spree begins. After shooting Holly’s father the two go on the run and while on the way to the Badlands of Montana they build a life together. Living in tree houses and out of a car the two don’t really have a plan, just to escape together and stay alive, though the law is catching up with them as they work their way up the blacklist of most wanted. Told from the inner thoughts of Holly we get a glimpse into her mind and what she thinks of Kit, their time together and the future.
