The true story of Ron Kovic. As a young American boy growing up in the 50’s Ron had dreams of becoming a war hero and fighting for the country he loved, even if it meant dying for it. After high school Ron shipped out as a marine and landed right in the center of the Vietnam war, after witnessing some horrific scenes Ron was eventually shot and left paralyzed from the waist down, never able to walk again. Returning home after years away in a filthy recovery hospital Ron is left wondering what it was he was even fighting for and why their were so many activists against the war he once so strongly believed in. Over time Ron realizes he was betrayed by his country and he becomes an anti-war and pro-human rights political activist, fighting for the peoples rights and uncovering their dirty underhanded war.
