Carlito’s Way

In 1970’s New York after having served five years of his 30-year sentence, career criminal Carlito Brigante is freed on a legal technicality discovered by his close friend and lawyer, Dave Kleinfeld. Vowing to end his life of crime and start fresh in the Bahamas, Carlito needs $75,000 to get started but unfortunately his past life isn’t through with him. Brought back into the life when he is a part of a drug deal gone bad followed by helping out Kleinfeld free a gangster boss from prison, Carlito is soon put in a position where he must cooperate with the police or just run and hope he makes it to his dream. Struggling to convince the love of his life, Gail, that he is through with crime, Carlito must get away with her and fast before it all catches up.
