Citizen Ruth

In Nebraska, Ruth Stoops is a troubled addict with no job, four children who have been taken from her and no place to live. Ruth sniffs paints, sealants and glues to get high which keeps her in a damaging cycle. When Ruth discovers she is pregnant she is targeted by people on both sides of the abortion argument. She is bailed out of prison and put up in the house of a Christian pro-life family who want Ruth to have the baby, meanwhile a group of pro-choicer’s have infiltrated and steal Ruth away to get her to have an abortion, but more than for just Ruth’s personal choice. It becomes a massive media sensation attracting people on both sides trying to sway Ruth to their views, however Ruth is unable to make up her mind, what will it come to.
