Out in the wild west 1870, affluent pioneer Samuel Alabaster ventures across the American frontier in search for his true love Penelope. Accompanied by Parson Henry, a drunkard who will officiate Samuel and Penelope’s wedding when they reunite, and a miniature horse named Butterscotch as a wedding gift, Samuel traverses the harsh and treacherous desert to his love.
