Investment Banker Davis works for his father-in-law, his life is average and dull. In a tragic car accident Davis looses his wife Julia and everyone expects Davis to be heartbroken but he is almost numb to what happened as he realises he never truly loved his wife. Davis writes a series of letter to a customer service rep because of a broken vending machine, he strikes up a friendship with Karen, the voice behind the phone and the two accidentally brighten up each others lives. Now seeing the world with a new set of eyes Davis discovers happiness and a keen interest in demolishing everything he has ever owned relating to his past, it is only then that he will begin to truly live.
