Escape from New York

In a dystopian future where crime has become rampant, the entire area of Manhattan has been sectioned off and converted into a maximum security prison where the prisoners govern themselves. While flying to a peace summit, the Presidents Air Force One is hijacked by terrorists and crashed into the city, however the President was saved in his escape pod but then taken by criminals in the prison. Meanwhile former Special Forces soldier Snake Plissken, who is about to be imprisoned for life, is offered a job to rescue the President within 24 hours to win back his freedom. Injected with micro-explosives that will detonate in 22 hours, Snake has limited time to find and rescue the President and himself from the prison, which is easier said than done. The President is with Duke, a dangerous leader with many goons, if Snake is to stand a chance he must work fast.
