Far and Away

In 1893, under the oppression of a ruthless landlord, young Joseph Donnelly is taken by the dream of owning his own land which soon becomes a reality. Shannon Christie is the daughter of the landlord and see shows Joseph a poster of free land available in Oklahoma in the U.S. Together Joseph and Shannon run away to America to start a new life, though not everything goes to plan. Joseph is fighting in the streets for money while Shannon earns very little plucking chickens, meanwhile Shannon’s parents and soon-to-be husband Stephen go to America to bring her home. The two opposites from Ireland are soon separated but months later are reunited in Oklahoma when the race for land is about to begin.
