The true story of the interviews between British talk-show host David Frost and former U.SPresident Richard Nixon. In the summer of 1977 Nixon agreed to sit a series of interviews after being the first president to resign due to the Watergate scandal that he was illegally involved with. David Frost had to pay a $600,000 fee to make the interviews happen, Frost’s team whom he worked with in the prior months were worried about his ability to hold his own against Nixon who at first was ruling the interviews with long and slow answers to sway viewers to his side. As cameras rolled for the final interview Frost caught Nixon off guard and in front of a nation and the world Nixon’s true past was exposed.
