Glory

During the U.S Civil war Col. Robert Gould Shaw takes command of the first all-black volunteer company. Facing his fears, insecurities and prejudices from his own Union army and the Confederates, Robert must stand strong to ensure his company stand tall and honorable above everybody’s expectations. Facing the fact that they may never actually see the war up close Robert and his second in command Maj. Cabot Forbes push to get their men into battle to face what they’ve been preparing for. Many of the black fighters including Pvt. Trip, Sgt. Maj. John Rawlins and Cpl. Thomas Searles struggle to fit in as they believe its either not their war or there’s nothing to gain in way of a future after the fight, though the company’s views begin to align as they grow together as a family under Shaw’s command.
