After growing up in a violent family with an abusive father, Seventh-day Adventist Desmond Doss enlists to go to war as a medic who refuses to even touch a gun. Desmond is sent to Hacksaw Ridge during the Battle of Okinawa in WWII where he faces the enemy with no means of attack or defense for his life. With only his bible at his side Desmond saves the lives of over 75 of his comrades while under constant fire from the enemy. This is the true story of a brave American hero who puts his beliefs before anything else and in the end is awarded the Medal of Honor by the President.
