Lonely and extremely shy, Victor Modino lives and works with his mother Dolly at her bar/restaurant where all the same locals causally visit to eat and drink. Victor’s world is turned upside down when Callie, a beautiful college drop-out, gets a job as a waitress. To self-conscious Victor believes he is too overweight and shy for Callie to ever love him as he is beginning to fall for her, she also has a demanding boyfriend, Jeff. When Victor is faced with a life changing event he doesn’t know if or how he will ever live the way he wants or get the girl of his dreams, maybe he wont but coming out of his shell may open a new world to him.
