At the end of World War II a Nazi team starts an experiment to raise the forces of hell through the Russian dark mystic Rasputin. However the experiment is interrupted and the only remnant is a small demon baby who is nicknamed Hellboy and raised from infancy by Dr Bruttenholm after fleeing the Nazis. Years have passed and now Hellboy is part of a team working in secret with the C.I.A. to defend the world against the forces of darkness. Somehow the Nazi’s from 60 years ago have resurfaced to finish what they started, and now Hellboy along with friends Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman and newcomer John Myers must band together to stop Rasputin from unleashing all hell.
