Based on the true story of the Gucci family and Patrizia Reggiani. In the late 70’s a young Patrizia meets Maurizio Gucci at a party, he is the son of the renowned Rodolfo Gucci and heir to 50% of the Gucci fashion house. Their romance is swift and soon Patrizia and Maurizio are married, Rodolfo has cut Maurizio off from the business because of the marriage but together the couple work together at her fathers trucking company. Soon Maurizio is offered back his position after his fathers passing and he joins his uncle Aldo and cousin Paolo in the New York branch. Patrizia sees this as an opportunity to take, though it will come at a cost, cutting off Aldo and Paolo in order to save the business from collapse, this causes a drift between her and Maurizio, until she is eventually dropped and forgotten by him. Now to the demise of both Patrizia and Maurizio, one event will change their lives and the name of Gucci forever.
