In the Heart of the Sea

Based on the true story that inspired the tale of Moby Dick. In the winter of 1820 the English Whaling ship known as the Essex sets out to sea, Captained by George Pollard and first mate Owen Chase. After not much luck the crew set out deeper into the unknown to catch whales but they are attacked and stalked by the giant white whale, larger than their ship they don’t stand a chance against its sheer size and power. The crew find themselves lost at sea, separated and in desperate need of food and water, stranded for 90 days, miles from home its unthinkable how anyone survived to tell the story.
