During the drug-fueled psychedelic 70’s a hippie known as Doc Sportello is awakened by his old girlfriend and told of her plot for her billionaire boyfriend, his wife and her boyfriend. Doc is a sort of private investigator so he looks into the story to see what’s really happening, the plan for a kidnapping gets shaken up when many different oddball characters become entangled along the way in this groovy kidnapping romp, but with all the drugs consumed how will this case ever get solved
