Based on the true story of Iris Murdoch and her true loveJohn Bayley, who met during their student days. Two opposites, Iris became a writer and philosopher, John a professor who’s awquardness opposed the extreme self-confidence of his future wife. In their later years Iris’ life changed dramatically when shewas diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, eventually ravaging her mind and body until she no longer resembled the woman she once was, the pressure is heavy on John who is now an old man and his one love is fading away before him.
