Jerry Maguire is a successful sports agent, he has many clients, a beautiful fianc and respect from his co-workers.One night Jerry finally realises how out of touch with his clients he really is and he realises in order to get to know them better he has to cut down and focus on only a few. Soon after Jerry is fired, his fianc leaves himand hebegins working for himself, with the help of former co-worker Dorothy who loved his new idea. With only one client left Jerry is desperate to hold onto, he gives all he has to making the relationship work with footballer Rod Tidwell and along the way faces the impossibility of rebuilding what he once had.
