A the DMZ boarder between North Korea and South Korea, two North Korean soldiers have been killed, supposedly by South Korean Sgt. Lee Soo-hyeok. It is believed Sgt Lee was kidnapped and brought over the boarder bridge and had to shoot his way out to get back and a neutral Swiss/Swedish team are brought in to instigate what actually happened. Sgt Lee and Pvt Nam watch night shift over the bridge where North Korean soldiers Sgt Oh Kyung-pil and Pvt Jung watch from their side. When Lee decides to break the laws and meet Sgt Oh a friendship is born, Pvt Nam and Pvt Jung eventually follow too and the four friends continue their meetings in secret by the cover of night, though if they are ever found out it could mean execution for everyone involved or even a civil war.
