When Maggie and her mother Erica move to a new town everything seems normal, Maggie befriends a group from her school and they go out trying to bum drinks and party regularly. When a lonely middle-aged woman called Sue Ann buys the group drinks she invites them to party in her basement as a safe place for them. Eventually Sue Ann gets the nickname ‘Ma’ from the group and they turn the basement into a cool local hang-out for underage teens to go and party. It soon becomes apparent that Ma is too clingy and attached to the friends that she begins invading their lives to a dangerous degree, and past secrets arise that puts suspicion in Maggie’s mind about Ma’s intentions. The trouble escalates fast and Ma’s true nature and horrible past come out as she plots to take revenge on the people and families that did her wrong as a teen.
