Set on an island off the coast of New England in the 1960s, as young scout-boy Sam and troubled girl Suzy fall in love they are moved to run away together. Various factions of the town mobilize to search for them including a Scout leader, Police officer, Suzy’s parents and Social services, and the town is turned upside down. After the escape from his Scout troupe Sam and Suzy go on the run but little do they know about the huge storm on its way to the coast. With the scouts and townsfolk on the lookout Sam and Suzy must decide weather or not to keep traveling or give in.
