After a vacancy in the United States Senate opens up, other senators must fill the position quickly with a naive non-political man who will not notice or care when their corrupt bills into senate will pass. Jefferson Smith is a small-town Boy Rangers leader who is appointed the position and before he knows it he is transported to Washington, the city he’s always dreamed of. Idealistic and a headful of ideas, Jeff isn’t as dumb as the other senators who answer to big Jim Taylor, believed he was. Once in senate Jeff is shocked at the political corruption that is going on and stands to be the only man to do good for his nation, but he is up against some pretty stiff competition.
