Terry Malloy works at the waterfront for a corrupt union boss tied in with the mob, he had dreams of becoming a prize fighter but those days are behind him and now he just tends to his pigeons and runs errands around the docks for Johnny Friendly. Terry witnesses a murder by two of Johnny’s thugs and later meets the dead mans sister andfeels responsible for what happened.
