In the near future out world is torn apart by giant monsters known as Kaiju, that have come up from a tare in the ocean joining our world to theirs. In response humans have created Jaegers, massive robots controlled simultaneous by two pilots whose minds are locked by a neural bridge. Raleigh Becket and his brother Yancy where the best Jaeger team around, that is until a Kaiju tore apart their bot and killed Yancy. A few years later and Raleigh is approached by General Pentecost to rejoin the Jaeger program after working construction and help face the continuing threat. It seems that Kaiju are evolving to withstand the Jaegers, each being bigger than the last and breaching the gap between worlds more frequently, Raleigh and his new partner Mako could be the worlds only hope.
