Paths of Glory

During World War I General Paul Mireau is given the opportunity for promotion if he can force the French army to advance on the German Ant-hill immediately. Knowing full-well if the army advances most of them, if not all, will die, Col. Dax is given the orders to take his men over the top on this suicide mission. After the men fall back to the trenches due to heavy fire, the General forces three men to be Court Marshaled for cowardice and sentenced to death to prove a point. Now Col. Dax is the only sane man left to stand up for these innocent soldiers and keep the humanity he has preserved from the evil dictators above him.
