Raising Cain

Child psychologist Dr. Carter Nix is a loving husband and father, though he seems to be obsessively studying his young daughter Amy constantly. Carter’s wife Jenny is beginning to have an affair with Jack Dante, an ex-boyfriend, and Carter is starting to suspect, though not on his own. We discover that Carter has multiple personalities that can take over an any given time, including Cain, a violent but petty criminal, Josh, a shy 7-year-old boy and Margo, a middle-aged nanny. They seem to be working together to complete an experiment that Carter’s father began years earlier, involving kidnapped children close to Amy’s age. When Jenny and the authorities begin to unravel the mystery that Carter set up for Jack to take the fall, they must confront him to find the missing children before something terrible happens.
