Based on the true life story of the legendary 70’s and 80’s rock legend Elton John. Since a young boy Reggie Dwight had incredible talent for the piano and a gift of putting music to words, shunned by his unloving parents Reggie grew up, changed his name to Elton John and became and unstoppable musical force. His partnership with songwriter Bernie Taupin and his betrayal by his first love John Reid helped create the legend as well as his uncontrollable lifestyle of drugs, alcohol and fame. Told through the lens of a broken man attending AA meetings for his addictions we see a look behind the glamorous curtain of a rock icon.
