Illumination Entertainment, In a city of talking animals, showman Koala Buster Moon creates a singing competition to save his sinking career, to be hosted at his once great theater. Accidentally the flyers presenting the show had a typo which read $100,000 prize money to be won instead of $1000, this mistake brings singers of all shapes and sizes to the theater to try-out. Amongst the select few who got through are Rosita the pig, Mike the mouse, Johnny the gorilla, Ash the porcupine and Meena the elephant who is extremely shy. Trying to restore his fading theater and career with this show, Buster must figure out a way to raise the $100,000 he is missing to ensure his show is a success.
