Description:
Silent film stars Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are the two most famous actors in Hollywood until the major companies decide to make the shift from silent film to sound. Don and his musical assistant Cosmo Brown find it difficult to go from what they were so good at to this new technology but with the help of his new friend Kathy Selden, Don comes up with a way to make their first motion picture with sound a success. Lina has an awful voice that would ruin her career if it was heard so Kathy sings and talks for Lina behind the scenes making the film a great success, but at a cost.
