Based on the true story of Edward Snowden, a CIA agent who between 2004 and 2013 become increasingly aware and disturbed by the government and CIA’s use of surveillance technology and its breach on the general public. Struggling to relate to his girlfriend Lindsay due to the secrecy and the underlying threat of leaking any classified information, Edward finally decides to meet in private with a documentarian and journalist to leak the entire story of what he has been a part of. In the face of uncertainty, possible torture and loosing Lindsay, Edward faces the harsh realities of giving up a cushy job with a seemingly perfect life to unveil the truth which sends him on the run as soon as the story drops around the world.
