The true story of how a unique team of reporters known as ‘Spotlight’ from the Boston Globe lifted the lid on child abuse going on within the Catholic Church in 2001. It turns out the scandals had been covered up for decades by the highest levels of Boston’s religious priests as well as the legal and government establishments involved. Mike, Robby, Sacha and Matt all under new boss Marty Baron are working to bring the horrific news out into the open and warn families with young children about the dangers within the Catholic Church as well as bring out the victims of the past decades to tell their stories as reference for their news report.
