A Stephen King Adaptation, In 1985 writer Gordie Lachance reflects on his childhood friends while writing a memoir of growing up in the small town of Castle Rock in 1959. Over the Labor Day weekend 12-year-old Gordie and his best friends, Chris Chambers, Teddy Duchamp and Vern Tessio set out on an adventure to discover the body of a missing boy named Ray Brower. Along their travels the boys make memories that last a lifetime, while at the same time a dangerous gang of older boys led by Ace Merrill and Chris’s older brother ‘Eyeball’ are on the trail of the body also. Through leech filled swamps, a dangerous junk yard and a high train bridge the group of friends discover a bond that creates the nostalgia we all look back on fondly as we grow older.
