Based on the inspiring true story of Jeff Bauman who survived the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing while standing on the sideline supporting his girlfriend Erin. After the bomb went off Jeff was stuck in hospital for weeks after having his legs amputated just above the knees, becoming a symbol of hope to the people of Boston, Jeff wanted nothing to do with anything and made life difficult for himself and Erin. Eventually Jeff realised he had to make a change and commit to rehabilitation so he could one day walk again, and with the news of a baby on the way Jeff struggles to believe he could raise a child without his legs.
