Rick Riker has been bitten by a dragonfly and develops super-powers (except for the ability to fly). Meanwhile Lou Landers (who coughs up blood because he is terminally ill) is involved in an accidental experiment that transforms him into the Hourglass, a villainous being who can suck the life energy from others, killing them. Rick must face off against the Hourglass to save the world from his life-sucking machine before it’s too late, while also trying to win the love of his neighbourJill Johnson.
