Clark Kent has settled into Metropolis nicely, on one hand he is the crime fighting hero Superman and on the other he has a job at the Daily Planet as an ordinary citizen. When Lois Lane realises Clark is the real Superman he decides to give up his powers to be with her, though he couldn’t have picked a worse time. Three criminals, General Zod, Ursa and Nonfrom the planet Krypton have broken free from their eternal imprisonment within the Phantom Zone and have earth in their sights as a place to rule over. Meanwhile Lex Luthor has escaped prison and is determined to help these three criminals destroy Superman, but Clark has no power.
