Homicide Detectives Mike Souder and his New York city transplanted partner, Detective Brian Heigh, work a small Texan town near the renowned ‘Killing Fields’ a nearby bayou where people go missing regularly. When dead women begin surfacing in the swampland, Detective Heigh is unable to turn his back on the job, even though it’s outside their jurisdiction. Working closely with Mike’s ex, Detective Pam Stall, they try to piece together clues and soon produce a suspect. When familiar local girl, Anne, goes missing, it becomes personal for Heigh. Though the bayou is near impossible to put a location on phone signals and bodies are quickly lost in the marsh, the Detectives must work ahead of the murderer and find him before more are lost to the killing fields.
