The Black Dahlia

In 1940’s Hollywood, LAPD Detectives Bucky Bleichert and Lee Blanchard are friends and boxers in a past life. Bucky is inseparable with Lee and his girlfriend Kay Lake as the two work cases together and the trio spend evenings on the town. However in January of 1947 when the body of aspiring actress Elizabeth Short “The Black Dahlia” is discovered dismembered, beaten and cut up, Lee becomes obsessed with the case and finding the murderer, he becomes unstable and dangerous. Meanwhile Bucky has done some digging of his own and found a rich girl, Madeleine Linscott, who looks like the Dahlia and used to know her, but how involved was she. With the case driving Bucky and Lee deeper and deeper into a conspiracy, neither of them are safe, yet are they any closer to finding the murderer.
