Mayfield Place is a typical American suburb, filled with people who are friends and own nice neat houses, until one day when a new family (the Klopeks) move in to the old warn down house right next to Ray Peterson who along with other neighbors begin to suspect the Klopeks are not just quite people but they are killing people. After crazy attempts to check out the basement of the Klopeks house and take out their power everything breaks loose, but are Ray and the other neighbors suspicions true.
