Professional secret surveillance expert Harry Caul is the best in the business but his new assignment may cause him to question his profession and morals when he finds out the people he is spying on could be hurt or murdered because of his work. Mark and Ann are the couple in question, listening in on their conversation in a busy city park Harry and his team dig up some unusual dialogue and speech, but what does it all mean. Now the recorded voice tapes are the hot ticket wanted by The Director and his assistant Martin, so when Harry decides not to turn the tapes over he makes himself a target at the cost of saving two strangers lives.
