A Stephen King Adaptation, In 1930’s Louisiana, Paul Edgecomb is an officer in charge of death row alongside corrections officers Brutus, Dean, Harry and Percy Wetmore, the sadistic nephew of the state governors wife. One day a new inmate called John Coffey arrives, a huge simple black man accused of murdering two little girls. However after Paul spends much time with John he can tell that John didn’t kill those girls and that he also has some sort of special supernatural powers. The men and prisoners on the Green Mile witness the miracles John performs, though will it be enough to save him when there is so much hate and evidence against John.
