Description:
1930’s Japanese occupied Korea, Sook-Hee is hired as a personal handmaiden to Japanese heiress Hideko who lives a secluded life in the countryside with her monstrous uncle Kouzuki. The new maid has a secret, she had previously planned to work with a swindler posing as a Japanese Count to help him seduce Hideko, elope with her and then rob her of her fortune while placing her in an insane asylum. The plan seems perfect, that is until Sook-Hee and Hideko develop feeling for one another, Meanwhile uncle Kouzuki’s dark side is explored through Hideko’s past and a string of unexpected turns takes everyone to places they never thought they’d be.
