School teacher David Gale is an activist against the death penalty in America so when he is convicted of murder and rape he ends up on death row. Reporter Bitsey Bloom is given three days to interview David and figure out how he is innocent and why he was set up for this murder involving his colleague Constance who was also a big anti-death-penalty activist. What Bitsey and her partner Zack find is a deep conspiracy to prove that the American justice system has big flaws and it will cost the ultimate sacrifice to make any kind of change.
