Money driven rare book dealerDean Corso is contacted and hired by famous collector Boris Balkan who has recently acquired a rare book known as The Nine Gates. There are only three copies worldwide of The Nine Gates and Boris believes only one is the true original, Dean is contracted to visit Portugal and Paris to verify the books authenticity against the other two copies. Dean soon finds that people are after the book he has and at its high value are prepared to kill for it, including the books previous owner Liana Telfer,so he must make his journey worth while. After examining all the books Dean discovers a vital clue that could mean all three books work together and are all authentic, but what is their purpose and why does Boris want them so badly
