The People Under the Stairs

Fool Williams is a young black kid from the Las Angeles ghetto, his mother is dying of cancer and they are about to be evicted from their building as they cannot pay rent. A man named Leroy convinces Fool to help him break in and rob the landlords ‘The Robesons’ as they are very wealthy and have a large heavily fortified house, Fool could use the money to get his mothers surgery and keep the apartment. When they break in it soon becomes clear that the Robeson’s are not your average couple, their are kidnapped people living under the basement stairs, a locked away young girl called Alice, a vicious dog and a maze through the walls. Fool finds himself alone and lost in the house with no way out, however he teams up with Alice and a mute boy living in the walls called Roach to find a way out. The Robeson’s who go by Mommy and Daddy are psychotic and will stop at nothing to keep their stolen family hidden away forever, Fool has his work cut out but maybe he can finally free them all and save his own family in the process.
