The Princess Diaries

Mia Thermopolis is your average geeky schoolgirl, pretty much invisible to everyone other than her two friends and her mother and brother. When Mia hears about her grandmother coming to visit, she doesn’t know what to expect because they have never met before, but when she arrives with some shocking news Mia can hardly believe it. Queen Clarisse Renaldi is her estranged grandmother, and Mia is in fact heir to the throne of the European country of Genovia. Still a schoolgirl and definitely not royal material, Mia must learn from her grandmother the ways to appear proper and posh in order to one day take over as Queen.
