Roy Fleming, a small town kiddie-ride operator who is extremely scared of hights runs a small spaceship childrens ride at an amusement park. When Roy finds out that his father Buck has signed him up for the real space program, Roy reluctantly heads for Houston, only to find out upon arriving that his job is a janitor, not an astronaut. With Roy’s entire hometown (especially his father) expecting him to be an astronaut there is too much pressure, especially when Roy’s father Buck and his friends Plank and Rush decide to come down and surprise Roy at work.
